Subject: [Devel] [PATCH hci-8.1 v5 1/6] block/blk-cbt: shift the block size as unsigned
Date: Tue, 27 Oct 2026 15:23:48 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261027-ptikhomirov-vstor-149268-cbt-account-at-rq-start-v5-1-88dccc74b48b@virtuozzo.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20261027-ptikhomirov-vstor-149268-cbt-account-at-rq-start-v5-0-88dccc74b48b@virtuozzo.com>
cbt_ioc_init() accepts any power of two block size, so block_bits can be
31, and then 1 << block_bits overflows int: the sign extended block size
makes the rounded up block counts wrong. Shift an unsigned one instead.

Feature: cbt: changed block tracking (for backup)
