Subject: [Devel] [PATCH hci-8.1 v5 3/6] block/blk-cbt: don't overwrite a map page with CBT_PAGE_MISSED
Date: Tue, 27 Oct 2026 15:23:50 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261027-ptikhomirov-vstor-149268-cbt-account-at-rq-start-v5-3-88dccc74b48b@virtuozzo.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20261027-ptikhomirov-vstor-149268-cbt-account-at-rq-start-v5-0-88dccc74b48b@virtuozzo.com>
The cache flush marks a missing map page with CBT_PAGE_MISSED from an
IPI, without cbt->lock. A page installed under cbt->lock in between, by
cbt_page_alloc(), is then overwritten: it leaks, and the bits already
set in it are lost.
Store the marker under cbt->lock, and set the bits in the page if it
appeared meanwhile.
